We understand the importance of privacy, and we want to assure you that your information is in good hands at Illuminate Hypnosis LLC. This Privacy Statement is here to inform you what data we may collect from you and what we intend to do with it. Upon booking a session, you will see this document again and be required to provide written consent.
Your data’s safety is our top priority. We’ve implemented reasonable administrative and technical security measures to protect against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. However, as with any internet website, it is not possible to guarantee that the site will not be attacked or that information you provide may not be compromised.
Our email is password protected and in all correspondence with you via email, we limit any possibly sensitive information to the minimum necessary to accomplish the goal. Our website is for informational purposes only and does not have a place for you to enter any of your personal information. When you choose to book a consultation with us, you are directed to Google Calendar’s booking site where you will enter your information securely using their service. Payments are processed using 3rd party vendors such as Stripe and Venmo and your information is secured using their services. Wherever sensitive information is collected (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. It is wise to verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.
Like many companies, we use browser cookies on this website to make your online experience smoother. Browser cookies are bits of data that are placed on your computer’s hard drive when you visit certain websites to help it remember your preferences and keep things running seamlessly. Cookies tell us, for example, whether you have visited a site before or if you are a new visitor and to help identify site features in which you may have the greatest interest. Browser cookies may enhance your online experience by saving your preferences while you are visiting a particular site.
Some web servers automatically recognize and store information, such as the visitor’s IP address/domain name combination and any referring websites. This information is used to understand visitor traffic patterns through websites for purposes such as enhancing their usability. Your computer provides this information automatically each time you log on, unless you have activated blocking technology available in some browsers.
We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Certain pages on our site may contain “web beacons” (also known as Internet tags, pixel tags and clear GIFs). These web beacons allow third parties to obtain information such as the IP address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the beacon appears, the URL of the page on which the beacon appears, the time the page containing the beacon was viewed, the type of browser used to view the page, and the information in cookies set by the third party. We use log files to store the data that is collected through web beacons.
These web beacons also help manage online advertising. These web beacons are provided by our ad management partners, such as Google Analytics. These files enable Google Analytics to recognize a unique cookie on your web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our website. The cookie on your web browser was placed by another advertiser who works with Google Analytics. With both cookies and web beacon technology, the information that we collect and share is anonymous and not personally identifiable. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number or email address.
You’re in control. If you don’t want us to collect certain info or use cookies, you can adjust your browser settings. The “help” portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new browser cookies, how to be notified when you receive a new browser cookie, and how to disable existing browser cookies. But keep in mind, this might affect how well our site works for you as you may not be able to take full advantage of all our website features.
For more information about Google Analytics, including information about how to opt out of these technologies, go to www.google-analytics.com.
